Effective March 25th, 2017 in accordance with new United States government regulations, all passengers travelling on United States-bound flights from some countries in the Middle East and Africa are prohibited from carrying electronic devices larger than a smartphone or exceeding 16 x 9.3 x 1.5 cm (h x w x d) in the cabin of the aircraft.

The electronics ban includes but is not limited to:

  • Laptops
  • Tablets
  • E-readers
  • Cameras
  • Portable DVD players
  • Electronic game units larger than a smartphone
  • Travel printers/scanners


​Some devices are excluded from this ban:

  • Smartphones and mobile phones
  • Head phones
  • Medical devices which are required for the flight (including breast pumps)
  • Extended power supply units (such as power banks)
